Something occurred to me today. A revelation, or a paradigm shift if you will.
It is irrefutable that society is in decay. Consumerism and capitalism must reach a stopping point - that much is in it's nature. The paradigm shift wasn't about that. It wasn't about how or why or when, it was about the end result.
It is popular belief that the end result will be chaotic. Money will take on a new meaning, the way we eat and live our lives will change and people view this as bad. We attempt to postpone the inevitable by diluting shares, creating more "wonder pills" and all kind of temporary fixes which, ironically, make the end result worsen. And worsen is the word we use. It is bad it is, what will happen. People do not look forward to the change, they look away from it. My paradigm shift took place on the edge of my bed. Playing guitar and thinking I thought, "maybe the change is for the better." The apocalyptic reality which we imagine will exist afterward seems bad. But I don't believe it is. I think that if we are forced to live of the land, to harness "Sharing based" economies, then that is a damn good thing. Bring on the next sociopolitical step forward. It's certainly a change for the better
My Thoughts on today's society.

Time for a change?
Change is ripe in today's society. Rampant in fact. People yearn for a sense of something more, a sense of belonging and purpose. Some realise this desire in religion, others in love. The majority settle for a pseudo sense of belonging which barely begins to touch at the sense of purpose etched deep into our souls.
But why the need for change? Why the desire for more? Is our existence in this word insufficient? Are our dreams really only realized by the few lucky enough to accomplish them? Lucky enough to accomplish them; wealthy enough, ambitious enough? The world is full of people unable to achieve goals, to achieve the life we in western culture hope to have. They are unable due to the misfortune of their birth. With a population of nearly 6 Billion people in this world, how many are truly happy, or even content with where they are? I know I'm not.
Today's society is a mess. A cruel and sadistic joke. We are born, and the lucky are then educated. The truly lucked are educated but learn with an open mind, questioning all that others may take for scripture. After an education we work. We contribute to society; The omnipresent force which controls and shapes us into the working ideal. Our contributions reward us with money. Dollar bills crisp in our hands which are then snatched away by governments, corporations and mandatory expenses which leave us with next to nothing. Those fortunate enough to have money left over may spend it on holidays, appearances, food or maybe they will invest it in shares. The epitome of the flawed monetary system which we subscribe to. We live to enjoy a few simple pleasures but do we ever stop to question why? Life is meant for more than just living to put food on your plate.
If you stop for one moment. If you pause and reflect. Reflect on what makes society go around what comes to mind? Money. Governance. A desire to survive. Corporations (which then link back to money.)
It is no mistake to think that any government is controlled by money. And no further wrong to think that Corporations control this money. And what does that control lead to? Control over healthcare, over medicine and lifestyle. Control over our lives.
I intend to point out the flaws in the above system, in such a way that the manner is objective, yet provocative. I end today's blogging with a question; do we live, or do we survive?
The time is ripe for a change. I can feel it in the air outside. People are sick of their monotonous, meaningless lives. History tends to repeat, it is only the characters who change. What kind of uprising is to come from the most psychological oppression that has ever been experienced in human history? For this is oppression which is masked with the facade of freedom, and it is this false reality we must see through. Do you feel the need for change screaming through your bones? We are on the brink of the biggest step man can take towards truly Utopian living, it is only those who run the world, that stand in our way.
